We arrived in San Francisco on Thanksgiving. Our friend and host Marlon picked us up from the airport and we went straight to his place for a BBQ with his friends. And what a BBQ!
San Francisco wasn’t really in our list of places to visit and the only reason we went there was to see Marlon and his family. Last time Marlon and I saw each other was back in 2010 in Brazil. In 2012 he moved to the USA so when I went to Brazil on holidays in 2013, he wasn’t there. Marlon has been one of my best friends for about two decades so I couldn’t fly over California without stopping by. Also, we haven’t met his two kids until this point, so that was a great opportunity to catch up and meet the new members of his family!
Marlon and Luana took us everywhere in the San Francisco Bay area. We had great food, got to see the Golden Gate Bridge, Facebook HQ (Marlon works for Facebook as a Senior Security Engineer), Palace of Fine Arts Theatre and other places.

Next, Marlon drove us to the airport and we flew to the last part of our holidays: Hawaii!
