Week number 5 of our assignment challenge was to photograph “art” with the Canon 70-200mm in manual focus. Although Roberta took it very seriously, creating her own art to photography (you will be able to see it when she posts it), I have a different approach, photographing other people’s art.

We tried to take some photos in South Bank, but the chalk 3D image they have there is more for phones and smaller cameras, we couldn’t do it with a 70-200mm. So we came back to a lane 2 minutes walk from home to shoot some graffiti:

 

 

And we went to the Gold Coast to photograph the Swell 2015, where they have lot’s of art by the beach (Currumbin Beach). Lots of cool stuff, but the weather wasn’t great (windy and a bit of rain).

 

A huge number of my shots were useless, as this was the last day of the festival and the first weekend of school holidays…
